5 Tips for Marketing on Pinterest

Everyone is aware of how quickly this new and exciting social network has taken off in the social media world. However, social media marketers everywhere are still trying to utilize for brands. So I’ve taken the time to research blogs, articles, and case studies to determine which are the most successful strategies to use in this new social media network:

Solidify Your Profile

Just like all other social media marketing networks, you need to ensure you’ve completed your Pinterest profile 100%. Ensure you put a profile picture, your brand name, your website, a description of what exactly you do, and use keywords as well for SEO purposes.

Pin Content Related to Your Brand

If you have a brand that sells baking materials such as pans, cookie cutters, etc. but your pinning content about furniture, this really isn’t going to help your SEO or your Pinterest marketing campaign. So try and Pin content that is 100% relevant to the products or services that you’re offering.

Follow

Utilize the search engine on Pinterest and search for other users who post similar content and follow them. You can follow other users too, but try to ensure you follow all the users with similar interests to yours before you follow others. This will allow you to interact with other users who are posting similar content.

Interact

Pinterest is very similar to Facebook is this sense in that you can Comment, Like, and Repin others pins/posts. So when someone posts something that you really like and it’s related to your niche, you can “like’ it and post a comment like “This is awesome!” or “Love this!”.

Measure

Use a tool such as Hootsuite (My personal fave!) or Tweetdeck to shorten URLs and track which URLs are generating the most interest on Pinterest. This will allow you to post more of what people are showing interest in. 5 Tips for Creating a Kick-Ass LinkedIn Profile

I don’t need to tell you how amazing LinkedIn has become for making great connections with others in your industry, finding jobs, and joining interesting discussions. But I also see so many people not fully utilizing this great social media network. I actually found my current job through LinkedIn so I’m a big believer in the social network and love to help users fully utilize it! Here are five tips for ensuring your profile gets noticed:

1. Use an Appropriate Profile Pic

I’ve seen some people choose profile pictures that are better off as Facebook profile pictures because they are just not appropriate. Your LinkedIn profile should be semi professional – not you doing a keg stand or partying in Cancun. You should be smiling, be appropriately dressed, and be alone in the picture with the Social Media Marketing Firm .

2. Enter Your Education Info

Potential employers who think you might be suitable for a job WILL want to see your education. So fully fill out your educational information such as what school you went to, what program you took, what extra curricular activities you were involved in. This is also great for college buds to find you on LinkedIn.

3. Go Social

LinkedIn is also great for allowing people to connect with you outside of LinkedIn such as on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. So ensure that you connect your LinkedIn profile to all of your other social media networks – as long as they are appropriate!

4. Show ALL Appropriate Job History

If you graduated with a business degree and in the past you’ve held two marketing internships and worked at four cafes – do not include your cafĂ© jobs on your LinkedIn profile! Only include jobs that are relevant to your current job search.

5. Optimize Your Summary

LinkedIn offers a Summary section on each users’ profile page and this is where search engine optimization comes into play. For the first paragraph of the Summary include a realistic summary of who you are, your experience, and your future career goals. Then add a space, and enter all the keywords that are relevant to you such as “marketing, finance, etc.”. This will not only help in LinkedIn searches, but searches on Google.com as well. These Social Media Marketing Campaign will help to improve your web presence.

5 Tips for Using Twitter Professionally

The big question most people have trouble figuring out on their own whether or not they should have one Twitter account for their personal use and one for their professional use, or just one account. The key aspect in making this decision is to determine how appropriate your tweets are on your personal account – if they are appropriate then you can combine your personal account with your professional account.

Here are five tips for using Twitter to build up your online presence:

1. Profile Picture Should be a Photo of YOU

Don’t use a photo of your business logo, a pretty picture, or whatever – use a picture of yourself so people know there is actually a real person behind the username.

2. Include Your Website or Blog in Your Bio

This is great for SEO purposes! When you are writing your bio, ensure you detail exactly what you do in your profession and include either your business website or your personal blog – whichever you want to drive traffic to.

3. DO NOT Use Auto Direct Messages

I can’t tell you how unbelievably annoying this feature is! It’s not “connecting”, it’s not polite, and from personal use, I find it extremely annoying when people who I follow automatically send me a completely automated direct message.

4. Use Hashtags When Appropriate

You don’t’ have to hashtag words such as “the” or “work”, but for terms such as “digital marketing”, “SEO”, or “Twitter”, you should always use hashtags when appropriate because that helps you show up in Twitter searches so other like-minded people can find you and connect with you

5. Utilize URL Shorteners

URL shorteners such as Hootsuite are fantastic not only for allowing you more room in your tweets to put more content, but also for allowing you to track who is clicking on your links. Sign up for Hootsuite or TweetDeck for free! I really hope these tips have helped you in your Twitter quest! 3 Twitter Strategies to Increase Interactions

Twitter is one of my favorite social media networks to interact on because it offers so much more communication and less barriers than other social media networks such as Facebook. On Twitter you can follow others, you can tweet out to them, retweet what they tweeted, and reply to their tweets. It’s a great social network to find others who are interested in similar things to you and interact with people literally all over the world. So here are three strategies I’ve used successfully to increase my Twitter interactions:

Participate in Follow Fridays

One thing EVERY Twitter user loves is a shout-out. It shows that you are engaging, interacting, and are interested in connecting with others. So participate in #FollowFridays by choosing your favorite Social Media Marketing Campaign.Twitter users of the week and post a tweet using hashtab #FollowFriday with those users usernames. Great way to build relationships!

Thank New Followers

Although it is “Twitter ettequite” to follow new followers back, they don’t HAVE to do it. So usually first thing in the morning I’ll send a quick tweet out to thank all my new followers. Obviously if you have 100+ new followers each day this will be very difficult, but if you have 5-20 new followers each day, it can really help to show others you are engaging and interested in connecting. And it’s just Twitter manners!

Put a Spin on the Class Retweet

For you to just click the “Retweet” button to show that you enjoyed something is not only old-school, but it leaves little room for engagement. So instead, the next time you see a tweet that you enjoyed, copy and paste the tweet into a new tweet, place “RT”, and add a little note such as “Great article” or “I agree!”.

I hope these Social Media Marketing Firm and their tips have helped you and if you have some of your own Twitter strategies that have proven to be successful, please feel free to share in the comments below!

5 Strategies For Utilizing Twitter

Twitter has definitely become one of my favorite social media networks because the communication flow is so much more open compared to Facebook. You can do searches on interests without having to worry about security issues, and you can really build up your network in a much more informal way compared to other social networks. Here are five strategies you can utilize to get more from Twitter for your brand:

1. Offer Value

Posting tweets like “I offer graphic design” is more than likely not going to get you ANY clicks because it offers no value whatsoever to the user, unless they happen to view your tweet and really are urgently in need of a graphic designer. However, if you tweet out articles and blogs (that don’t necessarily have to be your own) such as “5 Awesome Business Card Designs” or “Top 5 Logos of all Time” – those types of tweets grab the attention of the user and cause more clicks.

2. Use Hashtags

Just like a diet, moderation is key when using hashtags. If you use eight hashtags per tweet, then the value of your tweet decreases significantly. I suggest using one to three hashtags per tweet, and ONLY use hashtags which are relevant to the information in your tweet.

3. Use a URL Shortener

I use Hootsuite to manage all of my Social Media Marketing Campaign platforms, and of course Hootsuite offers a great URL shortener that also allows you to track your URLs click-troughs’. A URL shortener is important for two reasons: (1) It allows you more room for content in your tweet; (2) Allows you to track which type of content is getting the most click-troughs’.

4. Ask for Retweets

Don’t be afraid to ASK for a retweet. You would be completely surprised at how successful this strategy is. I do it all the time, especially when I’m tweeting out my blog posts, and you would think it sounds desperate, but it’s a great strategy and most people who are actually interested in the content in your tweet, WILL retweet it.

5. Call to Action Just like ANY Social Media Marketing Firm strategy, you NEED to include a strong call to action. The perfect tweet will include valuable content at the beginning, a call to action, followed by the shortened URL, and if you have room, hashtags. A call to action could be something as simple as “Download this!”, “Click here!”, or “Check this out!”.

5 Ways Personal Trainers Can Utilize Social Media

Social media marketing is a powerful and popular marketing strategy that has risen in popularity over the last five years. However, so many people think that social media marketing doesn’t apply to them. However, social media marketing can be an effective marketing tool for any business whether you are B2B, B2C, or whether you offer products or services. Social media marketing offers increased brand awareness, which is what every business requires to succeed. Here are five strategies to utilize social media marketing for personal trainers:

1. Offer Valuable Information:

Social media marketing is not a channel that you be pushing sales onto potential clients. But it is a channel where you can show off your nutrition and fitness knowledge by providing helpful information like blurbs, articles, and tips.

2. Find With Other Personal Trainers:

social media marketing firm believe on Networking, networking, and more networking. No matter what field of work your in, networking is one of the keys to success. You want to build relationships, share knowledge, and hopefully get something out of your networking relationships.

3.Provide a Supportive Community:

One of the key things that most people like to have around them when they are either trying to lose weight or make a positive lifestyle change, is support. So you can almost create a community (example: a Facebook page wall) where your clients can interact with one another and support one another through their journeys.

4.Promote Your Work:

Professionals, no matter what industry you work in, should have their own blog. A blog is a place where you can write articles around information that you are knowledgeable in. And you can use social media channels to market these blogs posts. The most popular and clickable types of posts include articles such as “5 Ways To….”, “3 Reasons Why….”, etc. You don’t want to bore your audience with an eight-paragraph article, but make it quick, concise, and easy to read.

5.Encourage Sharing Amongst Your Clients:

Offer incentive programs for your clients to get them more involved in your social media channels. For example, offer monthly prizes to those who have lost the most weight each month and set it up so that the user has to share before and after photographs of themselves. This can not only boost activity on your Social Media marketing campaign channels, but your clients will more than likely share with their friends, allowing you to reach more users.
